Attorney Croog began her legal career in New York City. Admitted to the New York bar in 1982, she practiced corporate and
securities law in two prestigious Park Avenue law firms. In New York, she assisted in the representation of a range of
multi-million dollar financings involving the issuance of securities in private placements and public offerings.
When she returned to Connecticut in 1990, she continued to practice securities law as counsel for issuers and
alternatively underwriters in both private and public offerings, including REITs.
Following admission to the Connecticut bar in 1991, Attorney Croog focused her practice on the representation of secured creditors
in the areas of commercial litigation, foreclosure and bankruptcy law, including municipal tax liens and residential mortgages.
As the sole Managing Member of Martha Croog, LLC, Attorney Croog oversees the operations of the firm, quality control, and
attorney practice and performance. For over twenty-three years, she has devoted her practice to representing the mortgage banking
industry in commercial litigation, residential and commercial foreclosures, structuring strategic loss mitigation workouts, bankruptcy
litigation, and related state and federal appellate practices.
She also represents the firm's clients in summary process (REO/eviction).
